What are the dimensions of the Braava jet m6?
This robotic mop is 10 inches long, 10.6 inches wide and 3.5 inches high. Its height is the same as the Roomba s9 robotic vacuum cleaner. It is slightly larger when compared to the Braava 380t robotic mop, which is only 3.1 inches high.

Imprint Link Technology
The Braava jet m6 can now be used in combination with either the Roomba i-series or s-series robotic vacuum cleaners. The Roomba i7 or s9 robot vacuum will do its cleaning run and return to its home base. It then tells the m6 robotic mop, which is sitting on its dock adjacent to the robot vacuum, that it may proceed to mop the floor.
Braava jet m6 vs. 240 and 380
These robotic mops from iRobot have the following things in common:
- wet mopping
- dry mopping
- suitable for hard floor types
- moves back and forth
- cleans edges and corners
- compatible with Braava jet cleaning solution
The m6 and the 240 both have a jet spray on its front, while the 380 lacks this spraying feature.
The 240 robot mop is the only one which has a vibrating cleaning head.
The m6 has Wi-Fi connectivity, which allows integration with the iRobot Home app and Alexa or Google voice control. Neither the 240 nor the 380 are Wi-Fi enabled.
The m6 has more advanced navigation with Imprint smart mapping and Imprint link technology.
The Braava jet m6 can recharge its battery and resume cleaning on its own. The 240 and 380 cannot recharge and resume.
All things considered, the iRobot Braava jet m6 mopping robot is smarter and has more features than either the 240 or 380. It can also connect to your smartphone and even cooperate with a Roomba i7 or s9.
What are its advantages?
- Automatic resume and recharge.
- Sprays extra water on the floor to soften grimy spots.
- Wi-Fi enabled, so it can connect to smartphone or voice control device.
- The smartphone app allows you to name maps and even label rooms on the map.
- It can clean in conjunction with either the Roomba i-series or s-series robotic vacuum.
What are its disadvantages?
- You should use the iRobot brand cleaning fluid because other brands are not recommended.
- The throw-away mopping pads are both expensive and somewhat wasteful to the environment.
- The robot might leave tire tracks on mopped surfaces because the cleaning pad is in front of wheels instead of behind it.
- It uses optical navigation, therefore it cannot operate in the dark.
Bottom line: the iRobot Braava jet m6 is probably the most advanced robotic mop on the market for 2019. Its ability to work together with the Roomba i7 or s9 is simply marvelous. The biggest drawback might be that the mopping pad is in front of the wheels, thus it might leave wheel tracks on the floor. Nevertheless, this model is a great mopping robot with Wi-Fi abilities, automatic recharging and smart mapping (buy it on Amazon).
