This Cosori 7-in-1 electric pressure cooker does the work of seven other kitchen appliances. It cooks under pressure, prepares rice, slow cooks, browns food, makes yogurt and steams vegetables. We review its features, control panel, accessories and power requirements.
Key Features
The most important feature for us is the 18/8 stainless steel cooking pot. The Cosori 7-in-1 seems to be an affordable electric pressure cooker with a 6-quart stainless steel pot.
This electric pressure cooker also incorporates nine safety features into its design. This makes it a very safe kitchen appliance, so long as you follow the basic rules of cooking under pressure.
The Cosori 7-in-1 electric pressure cooker has these dimensions: 12 x 12 x 13 inches. It is not bigger or smaller than other 6-quart multi-cookers such as the Instant Pot IP-DUO60.
Control Panel
Its control panel has the usual LED screen and buttons. You can choose one of the cooking programs which make it easy to cook a specific food type. Here is a list of the available menu programs:
- Rice
- Yogurt
- Soup/Porridge
- Multigrain
- Slow Cook
- Bake
- Steam
- Sauté (use the included glass lid)
- Reheat
- Poultry
- Beans
- Meat/Stew
The following buttons are found on the control panel: Adjust, Delay Time, Menu, Keep Warm and Start/Cancel.
The LED screen shows preset and pressure time information. Underneath the display are the Less/Normal/More text indicators. The rest is occupied by the Pressure and Plus/Minus buttons. There are six different pressure level settings.
Accessories
The package includes the following items:
- Cosori 7-in-1 electric pressure cooker
- glass lid (you do not have to buy it separately!)
- ladle
- measuring cup
- recipe book
- rice spoon
- sealing ring
- stainless steel inner cooking pot
- steamer rack
- user manual
What are its power requirements?
The Cosori 7-in-1 is a 1000-watt electric pressure cooker that uses 120V/60Hz power.
Does it have a delay timer?
The Cosori 7-in-1 pressure cooker has a delay timer. It is available for most settings, except for Sauté and Slow Cook.
Pressure canning ability?
You should not use the Cosori 7-in-1 for canning. In fact, do not use any electric pressure cooker or stovetop pressure cooker for canning. Always use a pressure canner for this purpose.
Is the stainless pot easy to clean?
The stainless steel pot is just as easy to clean as any other cooking pot. If food gets stuck during browning, then you might have to soak the pot in warm water before cleaning it. The pot can be washed by hand or in a dishwasher.
Cosori 7-In-1 Cooker: Verdict
The Cosori 7-in-1 electric pressure cooker seems to be easy to use, even though its product manual lacks detailed information. The included recipe book does not contain enough recipes, and you might have to look elsewhere for recipe ideas. Previous experience with an electric pressure cooker is recommended, but you should be able to figure things out.
What we like about the Cosori 7-in-1 multi-cooker is that it comes with a stainless steel cooking pot, steam rack and glass lid with steam vent (view it on Amazon).
